This gallery represents the heart and soul of photographer Kymri Wilt, whose inspiration came from her grandmother's travels around the world by steamship in the 30's 40's and 50's. She carefully labeled every slide and recorded every cruise port, restaurant, and attraction in her travel journals, which Kymri inherited. Her father, a land surveyor, also crossed the southwest on Route 66 in the 50's with camera and journal. Between the two, Mira Terra Images has rights to a collection of over 500 vintage travel images, only a few of which are shown here. Kymri's long term project is to publish a travel photography book tracing her father's and grandmother's travels and photographing the same spots 50 years or more later.
